NICO SUPPORTS IPMM MEETING

NICO Group has donated K5 million to the Institute of People Management Malawi (IPMM) to go towards its annual lake conference.

The three-day conference started yesterday in Mangochi District.

It brings together human resource managers from public and private institutions to, among other things, discuss

ways of remaining afloat on the job market amid the Covid pandemic.

IPMM President Godwin Ng’oma said the event accords HR practitioners a chance to share knowledge, interact among each other and share experiences happening in the business world.

“The work of HR is constantly going through changes; with the environment we are in now, change is inevitable and it is important to share those changes for all of us to be up to date with the trends.” Ng’oma said.

He then thanked NICO Group for the support rendered.

NICO Group Operations Executive Chifundo Chiundira said HR practitioners play a critical role in the world of work, hence the support.

“It is in recognition of this that we were prompted to assist IPMM in paying for their expenses for the lake conference” Chiundira said.

The conference is being held under the theme ‘Embracing Professionalism, Behavior and Integrity Resource Management Changing World’.
